Confidentiality and Privacy Policy
 

Your information is confidential and will not be discussed to third parties unless with you explicit written permission.   However there are some rules to confidentiality and they are if you threaten to harm yourself Val will talk with you about this and if she feels that you are at risk all steps will be taken to keep you safe and offer you support.  If you threaten others in the counselling session Val will assess whether you are simply letting off steam or whether you are serious about your threats to others in your life.

 

There can be some times when legal and police requirements demand that notes are handed over.  This is extremely rare, however Val takes care to document correctly and in a minimalist way.  We may release your information within the demands of the law or to protect yourself and/or others from harm.  To protect rights and property.
